Highlights Of Your Vacation
Your first night is in Malahide overlooking Dublin Bay before heading for the rugged west of Ireland. Enter Sligo, the romantic domain of the poet W. B. Yeats and explore Connemara one of the most desolate parts of Ireland. Then two nights in lively Galway city from where you may wish to take a trip to the Aran Islands. The Burren region of Clare and the mighty Cliffs of Moher are to be seen before turning east again to Kilkenny.

Day 1 Arrive Dublin
Arrive in Ireland’s Capital City, which has something to offer every tourist, from the trendy Temple Bar area to its Georgian Squares, historic buildings and museums. Relax in Malahide on the north coast of Dublin. Overnight – Grand Hotel, Malahide
Day 2 Dublin / Sligo
Head northwest thru’ the heritage towns of Trim and Kells in Royal Meath.. Continue via the tranquil lakelands of Cavan to the River Shannon and on to Sligo which W. B. Yeats called ‘the land of heart’s desire’. Overnight – Family Home, Sligo
Day 3 Sligo / Galway
Into Co. Mayo thru’ Ballina and Castlebar to the heritage town of Westport on Clew Bay overlooked by Ireland’s holy mountain of Croagh Patrick. Visit Ballintubber Abbey founded by St. Patrick and the village of Cong, location for the classic film ‘The Quiet Man’. Overnight – Forster Court Hotel, Galway
Day 4 Connemara
Take a tour of rugged Connemara possibly the wildest and most romantic place in Ireland. Alternatively you may wish to take a trip to the Aran Islands – regular ferries operate from Rossaveal Harbour on Galway Bay. Overnight – Forster Court Hotel, Galway
Day 5 Galway / Ennis
Spend the morning browsing Galway City before heading along the shores of Galway Bay to Clare. Traverse the Burren region, a paradise for botanists and geologists and view the mighty Cliffs of Moher enroute to the cathedral town of Ennis.Overnight – Family Home, Ennis
Day 6 Shannonside
The Shannon region is richly endowed with visitor attractions like Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, King John’s Castle in Limerick City and Adare village with its line of thatched cottages to name just a few. A Medieval Banquet in a 15th century castle should appeal. Overnight – Family Home, Ennis
Day 7 Ennis / Kilkenny
Travel east into the lush pasturelands of the Golden Vale in Tipperary. Visit Cahir with its impressive castle and Cashel dominated by the spectacular Rock of Cashel. Kilkenny is Ireland’s premier mediaeval city and justly proud of its heritage. Overnight – Mount Juliet Estate, Kilkenny
Day 8 Kilkenny / Dublin or Shannon : Tour Ends
Return car to rental depot at Dublin airport in good time prior to checking in for return flight.
